GREENE COUNTY – Residents of Bobtown, PA endured an explosion and five day gas well fire that resulted in one man being declared missing and presumed dead.  And what do they get for their troubles?  How about a free pizza and a two liter bottle of Coke?

100 residents of Bobtown, in the immediate vicinity of the blown-out fracking well, received handwritten gift certificates for a free cheese pizza and a jug of soda from Bobtown Pizza, along with a letter from Chevron, promising to strive for, as they put it, incident-free operations in the future.

Meanwhile neighbors are worried toxins from the noxious well are contaminating their water supply, especially after firefighters were given special authorization to take a million gallons out of a nearby creek, and allow that water to seep back into the groundwater supply after dousing the well.
