OIL CITY – A generous donation is helping nursing students at Venango College get some high-tech hands on experience. Northwest Savings Bank delivered a second of three installments of $10,000 to the Clarion University Foundation, Inc. for the Venango College of Clarion University School of Nursing and Allied Health Simulation Lab.
Northwest Savings Bank’s continued support will enhance state-of-the-art simulation mannequins and provide new equipment for the School of Nursing and Allied Health Simulation Lab. The contribution will provide upgrades to equipment that will benefit the education of nurses, nurse practitioners, respiratory therapists, and medical imaging professionals at Venango College.
Additionally, Northwest Commission announced the approval of Appalachian Regional Commission (ARC) funding for the simulation lab, one of three regional projects selected.
Venango College was awarded $26,255 to enhance and complement the existing inventory of simulators.
