The United Way of Western Crawford County is calling last night’s fundraiser a success. Executive Director Amy Murphy Woods tells us the United Way raised a total of 5-thousand three-hundred fifty-eight dollars at last night’s Guest Bartending event at the Beach Club at Conneaut Lake Park. Twelve teams from a variety of businesses and organizations across Crawford County battled it out in half-hour shifts. The winner was Ainsworth Pet Nutrition, raising a total of 12-hundred forty-three dollars.
“I’d like to thank all the participants. It’s another great way that this community has come out to support the United Way, not only through the campaign, but so many of these people support every single event that we do,” Woods says.
Woods says this year’s Guest Bartending event was even more successful than the last:
“The last time we did an event like this, it was in the winter time and we made about 35-hundred dollars for our partner agencies.”
