A Taste of Franklin will be held in downtown Franklin this Friday through Sunday, August 3-5. Enjoy all the activities this local festival has to offer.
At dusk on Friday night kids of all ages should bring their chairs and blankets to Bandstand Park for a showing of the movie “Angels in the Outfield” at 9 pm.
Friday and Saturday take a stroll down Liberty Street or through Fountain Park and listen to the unique sounds of organ grinders – sponsored by DeBence Antique Music World. DeBence, home to some of the oldest and rarest musical instruments in the world, will be open for tours Friday and Saturday as well as special $5 tours on Sunday.
Saturday morning stop by the 12th St Island to sample and indulge in all of the wonderful goods offered at Farmer’s Market. There will be recipes distributed, raffles, and tastes for the public. Saturday at 7 pm the eight semi-finalists compete at the Taste of Talent Vocal Competition in Bandstand Park.
On Sunday, bring your appetite down to Fountain Park for a Taste of Franklin! Sample foods from local restaurants and enjoy children’s entertainment, antique sales and the jazz and blues sounds of Catro. Motorcyclists can cruise-in and park on 12th Street Island. Make your way over to Bandstand Park at 4 pm for the Taste of Talent Vocal Competition Finals!
