WOODCOCK TWP. – State Police were in for a bit of a surprise during what they thought was a routine encounter with a motorist. It was about 1:13 this morning at the intersection of routes 86 and 198 in Crawford County’s Woodcock Township. Police say they went to check on the well-being of a person who was sitting in their vehicle in the parking lot of a local ice cream shop with their lights on. When they stopped to check on the driver, the driver handed the officers what appeared to be bath salts. Charges are pending results from the Erie Regional Laboratory.
