TRUMBULL COUNTY, OHIO — Grief counselors will be on hand at two Trumbull County, Ohio schools today, after a crash claimed the lives of six teenagers.  State Highway Patrol Lieutenant Brian Holt says an SUV carrying the teens slid off Pine Street in Warren, flipped over a guardrail and landed on its roof in a swamp.

“It is the deadliest crash in Trumbull County, and I can also tell you that, in the last three years, this is the only crash that had more than five deaths in the state of Ohio.”

Holt says two other teens were hurt in the crash.  The teens were students at Warren G. Harding High School and Willard K-through-Eight School.

This Warren teenager says she’s in shock over the crash that claimed her friends’ lives.

“It’s really depressing to know that I just talked to him Saturday, and the next day, I know that he’s gone.”

It’s not known at this time whether alcohol was involved.
