YORK COUNTY, PA – A neighborhood watch program organized by the KuKluxKlan has members of a small Pennsylvania community worried. But police in York County say there’s nothing they can do about it.
PennLive is reporting neighbors on Ridge Road in Fairview Township recently awoke to find their porches littered with propaganda published by the Traditionalist American Knights of the KKK. The pamphlets advertised a neighborhood watch program, assuring residents they can sleep safe knowing the Klan is awake.
Frank Ancona, the group’s Imperial Wizard and president, said some residents had called the Klan hotline complaining that police had not been doing enough to combat break-ins.
A local police spokesman said no crime has been committed other than a possible littering violation, which the department is looking into. But he said if residents are unsatisfied with the police dealing with burglaries, the KKK hotline is probably the wrong place to turn.
