The Salvation Army needs your support.  They need volunteers for Black Friday Weekend and throughout the Christmas Season.  If you can volunteer, call 814-795-4496.

 

 

 

A Christmas auction will be held Sunday December 2nd at the Meadville Sertoma Club on Baldwin Street Extension.  They’re auctioning off a large collection of toys for Christmas along with a great selection of other gifts.

 

 

 

The Sertoma Club on Baldwin Street in Meadville is hosting a spaghetti dinner January 6th from noon to five.  Adult tickets are 7 dollars kids are 4 dollars.

 

 

 

The Oil City’s Christmas Past Jingle Bell Run is happening Saturday December 1st at 9am on the Samuel Justus Trail.  The cost is 15 dollars if you’re pre registered or 18 dollars the day of.  Proceeds benefit the Oil City Main Street Program.  For more information visit oil region dot org.

 

 

 

 

Jayla Perry will be hosting an American Red Cross Blood Drive on November 19th from 2 to 7pm at the Oakland United Methodist Church.  Jayla’s Uncle received blood from the American Red Cross and he is alive today because of the transfusion. There are 1000 dollars in prizes donors can win the day of the blood drive.

 

 

 

 

The Crawford County Alliance of Bikers Aimed Toward Education is hosting a Toys 4 Kids Christmas Dinner and Party December 13th beginning at 6pm at the Stone Methodist Church in Meadville, followed by a visit with Santa Claus at the Meadville YMCA.  All children 12 and under are eligible and must be registered by a parent or guardian by emailing j dederick at zoom internet dot net or by calling Julie Gates at 814-336-4912.

 

 

 

 

On Wednesday and Thursday, December 12th and 13th, the Reash Community Church in Cochranton will be presenting a living nativity.  The nativity will be on display both days from 6:30 to 9:30 pm and will feature live animals and a cast of more than 60 members who will rotate throughout the night.

 

 

 

 

The Galloway United Methodist Church in Franklin presents the Sounds of Christmas December 9th at 7pm.  Your favorite Christmas all evening performed by the Oil City High School Band, the Rhapsody in Blue Ensemble, Quartet Just 4 Kids, and the combined barbershop quartets of Meadville, Grove City and Venango County.  A free will offering will be taken to benefit the Salvation Army Food Bank.

 

 

 

 

The Fort LeBoeuf Band Boosters will host a Taste of Jazz Sunday December 16th from 3 to 7pm at the Perry Hi-Way Social Hall on Oliver Road in Erie.  Tickets are 15 dollars per person or 25 per couple.

The annual book and gift fair will be held Saturday December 1st from 11am to 3pm at the Baldwin Reynolds House Museum in Meadville.  Featuring local and national history books, fiction favorites, cookbooks, gift sets, jewelry, wreathes and more.

The Christmas in Cambridge Holiday Bazaar will be held Saturday December 1st from 9am to 2pm at St. Anthony’s Social Center in Cambridge Springs.  Featuring a large craft show, a soup luncheon, a gift auction and a bake sale.  Admission is just a buck and free for kids under 12.  Proceeds benefit the Cambridge Springs High School Marching Band.

 

 

 

 

The Erie Jr. Philharmonic Orchestra presents two winter concerts to celebrate its 59th season.  On November 28th at 7pm at the Hirt Auditorium in Erie, it’s an Ensembles Concert. Admission is free  And on December 4th at 7:30pm, another concert will be held at General McLane High School in Edinboro.  Tickets are 2 dollars for adults and 1 dollar for children under 12.

 

 

 

 

The Fallowfield Volunteer Fire Department is hosting a Christmas Auction November 24th at 5pm at the Atlantic fire station.  Featuring Christmas items, toys, and new merchandise.  With Miller auctioneers.
