OIL CITY – An Oil City man is facing charges for failing to register as a sex offender.  Thirty-one-year-old John T. Biddle failed to update his address with the Pennsylvania State Police within three business days of moving, as is required by State Law.  Police took Biddle into custody on Thursday after an anonymous tip was placed to the state Police Megan’s Law Unite in Harrisburg.

Biddle was previously arrested September 30th for his involvement in a local church burglary.  He was arraigned yesterday in front of Judge Douglas Dinberg on one felony count of failing to comply with sex offender registration requirements.  His bond was set at 25-thousand dollars and he was committed to the Venango County Jail pending a preliminary hearing.  In 2001, Biddle was convicted of aggravated indecent assault.
