MEADVILLE – A Meadville teen will be tried as an adult for the brutal New Year’s Day beating of a Meadville man.  Judge John Spataro on Thursday deemed 16-year-old Timothy Bolden a threat to society, and sent him to jail on 25-thousand dollars bond.

The victim required extensive surgery for facial fractures and is facing steep medical bills.

Bolden’s alleged accomplice, 16-year-old Tyler Adams was adjudicated delinquent in Crawford County Juvenile Court.

The young men allegedly beat the 34-year-old victim in a CVS Pharmacy parking lot early in the morning of January 1st.  Trial dates have not been set.
