“I’m super excited, and my feet hurt,” Lindsey Lenhart tells Forever Broadcasting after being crowned 2012 Crawford County Fair Queen. Lenhart was chosen from five hopefuls who competed in a variety of challenges, including an essay contest, a skit, a private interview with judges, a question-and-answer competition, and an evening wear contest.
In addition to Lenhart’s main prize — a 750-dollar scholarship, the 19-year-old Saegertown native takes home a 100-dollar public speaking prize. Lenhart demonstrated poise and the ability to think on her feet, replying to a difficult question with a hilarious, and very creative answer.
“My question was what should be changed at the fair, and I said, although not possible, I would like there not to be animal waste.”
Lenhart is attending Mercyhurst University as a freshman this year with a major in Forensic Science with a concentration in Criminalistics.
