Large pile of money found in woods

CLARION COUNTY – Your parents may have taught you the value of a dollar, but it’s a lesson that apparently never sank in with somebody in Clarion County who had a big pile of cash… and simply threw it away.

It’s definitely not the kind of thing you hear about every day… a pile of money… the bills in various states of decay… thrown away in the woods.

Clarion State Troopers say a Leeper man discovered what police describe as “a large amount of decaying money” piled on and around a tree stump in the woods of Highland Drive, in Highland Township, Clarion County.

Police are puzzled as to what this means.  Anyone with information is asked to call the Clarion station at 814-226-1710.
