HARRISBURG — A move to start the impeachment process for a convicted state Supreme Court justice is expected to come this week. Justice Joan Orie Melvin was convicted on campaign corruption charges last month, but has not yet stepped down. So, State Rep. Glen Grell will be introducing a resolution to begin the months-long process of removing her from the bench. He says that process could be moot if Orie resigns, the sentencing judge orders her to resign, or if the Court of Judicial Discipline intervenes.
