SOUTH SHENANGO TWP. – A Greenville man was killed and a state trooper injured in a crash near Jamestown PA on Sunday.  It happened at 1:40 in the afternoon.  Police tell us 34-year-old Aaron Byers was driving in his BMW when he lost control and rolled over several times.  He was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead on the scene.

Moments later, Trooper Victor Sternby of the Pennsylvania State Police Meadville Barracks collided with Byers’ vehicle which was in the middle of the road.  The collision resulted in substantial damage to the cruiser and minor injuries for Sternby.

The crash occurred in the westbound lane of Route 322, just west of East State Road in Crawford County’s South Shenango Township.
