The Great Race – the annual antique car competition – is coming to Franklin for the first time. The classic car rally will make a lunch stop on Friday from 11:50 a.m. to 2:50 p.m.
As they motor thousands of miles in nine days around the Great Lakes, 92 vintage race cars including some from Pennsylvania will make a lunch stop to help celebrate Franklin’s 4th of July Festivities Week. This is their only stop in Pennsylvania.
The race began on Saturday in Traverse City, Michigan, and ends July 1 in Dearborn, Michigan. The oldest car in this year’s race is a 1911 Hudson, and the newest is a 1969 Jaguar.
