MERCER COUNTY – Several people were hospitalized after a fire at a Jamestown weapons plant. Mercer County Dispatch says fire broke out early this morning – around 5:50 a.m. – at Combined Tactical Systems – a manufacturer of tear gas and crowd control munitions.
Although eyewitnesses complained of a horrendous smell, the fire was described as small. It was quickly brought under control and mutual aid from Crawford County was cancelled before 6am. There’s no word yet on what caused the fire. It’s the fourth incident in a roughly two year period.
