Crawford County to conduct annual Severe Weather Exercise

MEADVILLE – If you hear talk of severe weather in Crawford County this morning, don’t worry, it’s only a test.  The Crawford County Office of Emergency Services tells us they will conduct a test of their weather preparedness response this morning.  That test will start at 9am with a mock tornado warning.  Then from 10 to 11am, the county will test its emergency operations center.

Emergency Management Director Allen Clark tells Forever Broadcasting, “We will be communicating with amateur radio operators out in the field, getting information.  We will be coordinating with our municipal and local emergency management coordinators as they go to different facilities in the county.  We’ll be looking at resources, identifying damage incurred in the county, and taking this opportunity to test with other state and federal agencies.”

Again that tornado warning will go out at 9am this morning in Crawford County, and it's only a test.
