CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS – A Cambridge Springs man was killed in a one-vehicle accident last night.  The crash happened at 9:40 in the 22-thousand block of Route 19 in Cambridge Township.

Police say 34-year-old Corey Edward Conrad went off the east side of the roadway and struck a guardrail.  He was sliding sideways when his Mitsubishi sports car went into a counterclockwise spin, striking a mailbox and then an embankment which caused the vehicle to go airborne.

After that it struck two trees, impacting over sixteen feet up the trees and then bouncing off the road, ejecting Conrad, who was not wearing a seat belt.  The vehicle traveled a total of 329 feet from where it first showed signs of exiting the roadway until final rest.

Assisting at the scene were Cambridge Springs Volunteer Ambulance Service, Meadville Ambulance Service, Venango Volunteer Fire Department, the Crawford County Coroner, and Goodban’s Towing.
