MEADVILLE – A local lake… or what used to be a lake anyway… is due to get some much needed attention from area residents this weekend.
“We’d like to have a cleanup day to clean up the access areas of Tamarack Lake to make sure the lake stays clean and doesn’t get polluted.”
Melissa Fuller heads up the group that’s been working to preserve the 500-acre reservoir, located just southeast of Meadville. The lake was recently drained in preparation for repairs to one of its dams.
The cleanup day will be Saturday May 18th from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Fuller tells us another cleanup is planned for the fall in collaboration with the French Creek Valley Conservancy.
