MEADVILLE — Trustees of Conneaut Lake Park have thirty days to release copies of any and all financial records to Pennsylvania Deputy Attorney General Eugene Herne.  Judge Anthony Vardaro handed down the order following a brief status conference in Crawford County Court this morning.  The judge is also demanding that the trustees release all insurance related information pertaining to the park.  Within sixty days, another hearing will be scheduled to decide how the case shall proceed.

The AG’s office has petitioned Judge Vardaro to oust the entire current board, and possibly hold all current and former members accountable for fire damage to the Beach Club and Dreamland Ballroom, since the board neglected to provide fire insurance for those structures.

The petition alleges that the board willfully neglected its fiduciary duties as overseer of the park by turning down important business contracts, failing to pay taxes, and failing to insure the properties.

The board’s attorney, Brian Pulito, has provided the Attorney General’s office with a list of all current and former members.  A copy of that list is photographed here.
