SPRING TWP. – There was a very serious car accident in Springboro yesterday.  Police say 57-year-old James Brock, of Albion, was traveling south on Route 18 just a couple hundred yards north of North Main Street, when he took his eyes off the road to check his email on his cell phone.

That’s when witnesses say his vehicle drifted across the center line and collided head on with an oncoming car.  The second driver was 48-year-old Terri Blount, of Springboro.  Both drivers suffered major injuries in the crash.  Brock was taken directly to Hamot Medical Center in Erie, and Blount was first taken to Meadville Medical Center and then transferred to Hamot.  A nursing supervisor this morning confirms both remain in the care of Hamot Hospital where they are listed in serious condition.
