WARREN COUNTY — A Tidioute man has been charged with criminal homicide for allegedly killing a Tidioute woman Thursday. State Police in Warren took 52-year-old Randy Lee Poole into custody early this morning following a 10-hour manhunt. Poole is accused of killing 56-year-old Kathleen Sweeney, at a home on Davey Hill Road, Deefield Township, Warren County.
Police were initially dispatched to Sweeney’s home at about 3pm on Thursday, after Sweeney reported an intruder in the home. When police arrived, they found Sweeney fatally shot. From there, a vehicle chase ensued along Tidioute-Enterprise Road. Police say Poole crashed the vehicle in the woods two miles west of Tidioute Borough and fled on foot.
