OIL CITY — Police in Oil City have arrested a suspect in connection with a reported assault on a child. A joint investigation with Venango CYS resulted in the arrest of Dustin Irwin. The child was treated in the Emergency Room at UPMC Northwest. The alleged attack happened between midnight and 2am on Friday.
Irwin was charged with Aggravated Assault, Simple Assault, Endangering the Welfare of a Minor, and Reckless Endangerment. He was arraigned in front of Magistrate Andrew Fish and remanded to the Venango County Jail with bond at 150-thousand. His preliminary hearing was set for July 3rd.
