ThAT PERSON will take over for Rodney Erickson, who STEPPED IN in November of 2011 after Graham Spanier was LET GO FOLLOWING the Jerry Sandusky Scandal. WTAJ REPORTS THAT THE MAIN ISSUES DISCUSSED ARE WHETHER the NCAA acted within ITS jurisdiction …whether the reputations of the Paterno family, former Penn State football players, coaches and trustees have been damaged…and Does Penn State have to be a plaintiff to move the case forward? THE UNIVERSITY IS CURRENTLY NOT INVOLVED. THE JUDGE WILL ISSUE a written decision LATER.

FOLLOWING FORMAL ARRAIGNMENT YESTERDAY, HE WAS ORDERED TO STAND TRIAL FOR first-degree murder in the AUGUST stabbing death of his girlfriend, 21 YEAR OLD Elizabeth Miller at the Bridge Street car wash. GIBSON IS ALSO charged with possession with intent to deliver 293 stamp bags of heroin AND OTHER DRUG OFFENSES.

Cambria County CONTROLLER ED CERNIC TELLS THE TRIBUNE DEMOCRAT THE COUNTY HAS RECEIVED a more than 1-POINT-6 million DOLLAR payment from 2 state agencies, SO HE WAS ABLE meet Friday’s payroll. Cernic will ALSO have money to pay some of the oldest bills from vendors and last month’s employee expense reimbursements. he’S STILL CONcerned as the end of year approaches and 3 loans HAVE TO BE RE-PAID, INCLUDING a 5 million DOLLAR tax anticipation note.

STATE POLICE SAY THE NATIONAL DRUG TAKE BACK PROGRAM CONDUCTED LAST WEEKEND WAS A SUCCESS IN THE TROOP G AREA. TROOPERS COLLECTED 691 POUNDS OF UNUSED OR EXPIRED MEDICATIONS FROM LOCATIONS IN 6 COUNTIES. THE MOST WAS IN HOLLIDAYSBURG, BLAIR COUNTY,  WHERE A TOTAL OF 302 POUNDS OF DRUGS WAS TURNED IN.
