A DISTRICT JUDGE IN JOHNSTOWN YESTERDAY BOUND OVER Murder charges against 31 YEAR OLD JonAthAn Kuzma. Police saY he admitted beatING his father, JOHN, in the head with a hammer…stabbING him… DUMPING THE BODY IN THE BASEMENT OF THEIR MOXHAM HOME…THEN breaking into his father’s safe TO steal money, pills and a hand gun. John Kuzma’s BODY WAS FOUND AUGUST 2ND. A trial date has not YET been set. Kuzma remains in the Cambria County Jail WITHOUT BOND.

38 YEAR OLD BRIAN ROLES OF EAST TAYLOR TOWNSHIP IS ON TRIAL THIS WEEK IN CAMBRIA COUNTY. HE’S CHARGED WITH VEHICular HOMICIDE WHILE UNDER THE INFLUENCE FOR THE CRASH THAT KILLED HIS 16 YEAR OLD SON, BRIAN JUNIOR, LAST YEAR. FORMER ALTOONA POLICE OFFICER DUANE EICHENLAUB IS APPEALING HIS 11-AND-A-HALF TO 23 MONTH JAIL SENTENCE FOR ASSAULTING 60 YEAR OLD EARL ESHELMAN AT PELLEGRINE’S BAR IN 2010…AND HIS ATTORNEYS WERE IN COURT YESTERDAY. ACCORDING TO THE ALTOONA MIRROR, THE LAWYERS SAY THE SENTENCING JUDGE MISSED THE OPPORTUNITY TO AWARD ESHELMAN RESTITUTION… SO HE MAY NOT RECEIVE ALMOST 10-THOUSAND DOLLARS FOR HIS OUT-OF-POCKET MEDICAL EXPENSES. WHEN EICHENLAUB WAS SENTENCED, THE JUDGE SET RESTITUTION AT 1 DOLLAR AND GAVE ESHELMAN 30 DAYS TO SUBMIT HIS FINAL EXPENSES. THE DEFENSE SAYS THE “OPEN RESTITUTION” ORDER IS ILLEGAL. THE JUDGE PLANS TO ISSUE AN OPINION WITHIN A WEEK.

LAST tuesday, 51 YEAR OLD DIANE CHASE OF JULIAN told police she was robbed at knife point BY A MAN WHO CUT HER ARMS AND STOLE THE BANK BAG SHE WAS CARRYING THROUGH THE PARKING LOT OF THE EAST COLLEGE AVENUE UNIMART IN STATE COLLEGE. SURVEILLANCE VIDEO SHOWs CHASE was alone…so she told police she had been robbed by that man the day before while walking through a bank parking lot. the video shows her stealing almost 10-thousand dollars. CHASE IS FREE ON 15-THOUSAND DOLLARS UNSECURED BAIL. charges INCLUDE Theft by Deception, Receiving Stolen Property, and False Reports to Law Enforcement Authorities. a hearing is scheduled next wednesday.
