A 22 year old Somerset County man was killed when he was hit by a train early Sunday morning. AUTHORITIES SAY 22 year old Christopher Reed from the Windber Area was on walking along the tracks in Seward when a Norfolk Southern train heading east hit him. Reed died at the scene. An autopsy is schedULED TODAY.

PHIL NGUYEN OF California IS IN THE CENTRE COUNTY PRISON AFTER HE tried to purchase a 12-THOUSAND DOLLARS ROLEX watch with a fake ID. IT HAPPENED FRIDAY AT Kranich’s Jewelers IN STATE COLLEGE. Police saY Nguyen wanted to finance the purchase and presented false id. When he returned Sunday to complete the transaction, employees called THE COPS AND Nguyen was found to be in possession of a fake California driver’s license. He faces charges of identity theft, forgery, theft by deception, and access device fraud.

Privately funded travel is not prohibited, But House members must get ethics committee approval before the trip and file detailed information – including costs – within 15 days of returning. The increase in privately funded travel by members of the Pennsylvania congressional delegation, from 17 in 2008 to 47 in 2013, tracks a steady increase in the House as a whole, from 1-THOUSAND-12 in 2008 to 16-HUNDRED-85 last year.
